About two months ago, I sat on my couch reflecting on my goals that I have set for myself. Very similar to most ambitious individuals, we

tend to set goals that add so much pressure, added stress, and unhappiness due to the heightened sense of perfection that we set for ourselves. Let me guess, you may have goals that look like this: 1. Make 10 Million Dollars by 35 2. Find the perfect partner by 25 3. Be able to travel to collect and have more luxury items 4. Have power by gaining more respect from peers 5. Make parents proud by how much I earn 6. Pursue a career that makes the most money The moment I realized that I have been focusing on the wrong things and redirected my thoughts, something magical happened. Think about it, how can I find the perfect partner? Does perfection in humanity even exist? How can I find a perfect partner when I have not found myself at 25? I realized that I needed to dig a little deeper and redirect/ refocus my thoughts. My goals have changed into something like this: 1. Make a positive impact in the world 2. Find my inner peace 3. Be able to have and build beautiful memories 4. Be powerful by gaining more self-confidence 5. Make parents proud by how joyful and happy I am 6. Pursue a career of my heart’s desire that I am excited about everyday Those life goals have given me a better quality of life, and I now have much more spiritual and financial freedom.
